Principal fo Operation

Thermal Energy Meter works in conjuction with two temperature sensors and a water flow meter. High accuracy, low thermal inertia NTC thermistors are used for sensing the temperature at the inlet and outlet. The flow input is provided by a flow meter in pulsed form.

It calculates thermal energy by measuring liquid flow in a closed pipe system and measuring temperature at inlet and outlet points. The microprocessor makes precise calculation and produces an accurate output.

All calibration information, units of measure and flow and energy totals are stored in non-volatile memory.
