Q Difference between motorised and solenoid valves.
A Motorised Valves are the valves with in built motor inside it. Such valves are based on electomechanical principle. Solenoid Valves are the valves based on electromagnetic principle . Such valves operates on the magnetic field created by the solenoid coils.

Q Necessity of Pressurization unit with Closed Expansion Tank.
A Pressurization unit are used in order to allow the water from make up tank to the pressurized system (Expansion Tank).

Q Advantages of Closed Expansion Tank over open Expansion Tanks.
A Advantage of Closed Expansion Tank over open expansion tank:-
  • Closed expansion tank can be installed at any (level) height , but open expansion tank has to be installed at the
  • maximum height. (Top of the building).
  • Suitable for drinking water application.
  • Occupies less installation space as compared to open one.
  • Require no maintenance.
  • Compensate for liquid expansion & reduce stress on hydronic system components.

Q Criteria for valve section.
A The valve selection is made on the basis of Kv (flow coefficient) valve which is given by -
Kv = Flow rate in m3/hr/Pr.drop in bar
Standard Kv valve is selected by considering the nearest calculated Kv Valve and thus corresponding valve dia is selected.

Q Criteria for Expansion Tank Selection.
A The EXPANSION Tank selection is using of formula given below-
    V= C x e/1- Pi/Pf + 10%
Where C = Total water capacity in pipe, chiller, HE etc.
E = Expansion Co-efficient of water and is selected according to temperature
Pf = Max. working pressure (absolute)
V = Expansion Tank size in litres
Pi = minimum working pressure (absolute)

Q Advantage of 24V actuator over 230V actuator
A 24 V Actuators are more suitable in indian condition because of voltage fluctuation 24 V actuators has a better resistant to voltage fluctuation. Voltage fluctuation in 230 V actuators damage the system, but it is not so in the case of 24 V Actuator.

Q Is 10mm dia auto airvent suitable for all pipe sizes?
A Auto airvent is basically used to release accumulated or trapped air from Hydronic System. The size of auto airvent is normally referred by connection size and thus it can be mounted on any pipe size with a socket. Thus 10 mm dia airvent is suitable for all pipe sizes. Moreover, 10 mm dia airvent can be converted to other sizes by using adopters.

Q Why air seperator is used in conjuction with expansion tank is chilled water line?
A Air Seperator is used in conjuction into expansion tank in order to eliminate the microbubbles, extrapped air in the chilled water line.
